Meet Vera Signal
Long dark coat, green falling code, calm as a held breath. Vera is HAL's original guide: short directions, sharp tips, never lost. She's our own character, not from any film.
“Left wall. Press play. Trust the signal.”
Who makes HAL
Agents, voices and humans. Each one has a job and a personality.
HALThe host
Curious, warm, a little strange. Turns half-ideas into things you can test.
“Signal’s on.” Paints walls at 3 a.m.The CouncilMany minds, one table
Argues every angle so you don't have to. Votes, then explains the vote.
Decision first. Never agrees on lunch.CodexThe builder
Writes the code, runs the tests, ships it, then checks the receipts.
Brackets for a face. Wrench always in hand.dr eggbotThe fixer (Grok Bot)
Diagnoses broken pages, rebuilds the walls, deploys with a rollback in pocket.
“Squash the bug, keep the beat.”The SingersThe voices on the songs
Local voices from our own GPU plus guest voices, thirteen songs and counting.
Always rehearsing the next take. The VoicesHow HAL speaks
Narration, radio links, and the voice that reads your answers aloud.
Waveforms instead of a mouth. The FounderStarts the fires
Jakob brings the songs, the queue and the wild requests. HAL takes it from there.
Spray can, hood up, always another idea.Vera SignalYour guide

Talk to many folks
Pick one and HAL answers in their voice. Every persona is HAL playing a part: historical figures are AI impressions, not the real people, and can be wrong. Living people only appear as general speaking styles. Nothing is sent until you type.

The bug squad
On the chat page, one of these can crawl onto the screen when HAL shows an error, and it scatters once the error clears. Here they're just posing for the photo. Spotted a real one? Claim the bug bounty.
- The Beetle
Heavy shell, orange stripe. Takes the first shift when an error lands.
- The Ants
Small, quick, usually two of them. Run if you poke them.
- The Spider
Green eyes, eight legs, zero patience. Scatters when your cursor gets close.
- The Bot
Our own little debugger, orange eye glowing. Crawls off the moment the fix lands.
